I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Former twice world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
